If your hometown has an annual fair, chances are you make at least one appearance there each year. It's a perfect place to remember your roots, see old friends or even just people-watch. Every time you go, there are several things you see no matter what, though.

Here are just a few of them:

1. Fried food.

Fried pickles are one way to go (as shown above). My personal favorite is fried green beans or (GASP) FRIED OREOS. But, if gizzards or butter are your preferences, there are those too.

2. Cowboy boots.

They're all over. All over. However, they're often being used as they should.

3. Cotton candy.

Hey, that's what the fair's for.

4. Sweat.

Everyone at the fair needs this tank.

5. Beer.

Probably Bud Light. Especially if you're in the Midwest.

6. Music.

And a lot of scary people dancing at the front.

7. Tractors.

Whether they're on display or small ones for kids to play with, it's a large part of the fair.

8. Piggies and cows that are about to die.

Sorry kids.

9. PDA.

It's everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

10. Sketchy rides.

Y'all gonna die.

11. Youths.

Even though you were one of them once, you weren't that annoying...right?

12. Everyone you've ever met.

You have to look semi-acceptable when you go because you're gonna see quite a few people you know. And their parents. And their whole family.

13. Expressive outfits.

Seriously. I think I've seen these pants on someone at the fair before.

14. A great time.

From motocross to bull riding, animals to old friends, your hometown fair may be miserably hot, but a great place to make memories.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
