Who doesn’t love good music—especially when you’re all cozy, lying around with some hot beverage and under warm blankets?? You may know some of these songs, but if you stumble across some you don't know, check them out ASAP--the best part is, they're all on Spotify!

1. Somebody Else: The 1975

The minute I heard this song, I was obsessed. Like, "listen to it on repeat for days and I'm still not sick of it" obsessed. A lot of people will know The 1975 from the song Chocolate, which came out in 2013--but they released their newest album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It (I know, it's a mouthful), in February of this year; and I've gotta say, if you like this song, wait until you hear the rest of the album. The Alt Edit remix is pretty good, too.

2. All We Know: The Chainsmokers

Do you really need a reason to listen to a song by these guys? Every song they've released to the radio has been a hit, and their other music is no different. Chances are you've heard this already; but if you haven't heard this yet, check it out. Immediately.

3. Western Expansion: Jared and the Mill

I happened to come across this band one day thanks to Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist, and it was love at first note. For those of you who are Indie/folk fans (Me!) or if you're a fan of early Mumford and Sons, you'll love this band. This song is from the 2013 album Western Expansion, and if you like ballads you can sing your heart out to, you'll listen to this over and over and over.

4. Love Won't Sleep: LostBoyCrow

Another gem chosen for me by Spotify. It's hard to get this song out of your head, especially with the catchy chorus the artist has created. You'll find yourself singing along in no time.

5. There Will be Time: Mumford and Sons

Now, as a huge Mumford fan, I may be biased. But the band's latest album, Johannesburg, was a collaboration that blended modern alternative and traditional South African music and language, and honestly, it's pretty cool to listen to. There Will Be Time is an awesome example of how these two genres combined and includes lyrics you can belt out in your car or your room.

6. If You're Gone: Matchbox 20

This is another one of those songs you have probably heard; if you haven't heard this song, listen to it--now. It's been awhile since it was released (October of 2000), but that will never change the fact that it will always be one of my personal favorite songs of all time. Rob Thomas puts so much emotion behind his lyrics in this song, it's hard not to get swept up in it.

7. Breathe Me In: Jared and the Mill

I never said there wouldn't be any artist repeats on this list, did I? Breathe Me In is also from Western Expansion, and opens with a really cool harmony. This song is completely relatable in the fact that the artist knows he doesn't deserve the person he's singing about, and yet he still needs that person. We've all been there, which makes singing along to the lyrics of this song all the more powerful.

8. The John Wayne-Little Green Cars

The way this song opens is catchy in and of itself--a steady beat you can stomp your foot to and rhythmic lyrics--but then the song picks up, the lyrics get more powerful and are sung with more conviction, and before you know it, you're hitting repeat and listening to the song again.

9. Snow (Hey Oh): The Red Hot Chili Peppers

You really can't go wrong with anything by The Red Hot Chili Peppers (the band has made history in the alternative rock arena), but Snow is always a solid option. It's from the album Stadium Arcadium, and between the opening guitar, Anthony Kiedis's vocals, and the overall "chill" vibe of the song, it's no wonder it made this list. The band has made history in the alternative rock arena.

10. Greek Tragedy: The Wombats

For a more upbeat Indie vibe, check out The Wombats. Greek Tragedy is one of their easiest songs to get into, and really gives you a feel for the band's style; not to mention, it's perfect for blasting and singing along to. (If you haven't noticed, being able to sing along to a song is very important.)

11. Cold Arms: Mumford and Sons

This song is somehow both powerful and perfect for a chill day, with a coffee and a journal. You can't help but be drawn in by Marcus Mumford's voice, and the lyrics are heartbreaking--in a good way. This song is so simple: lyrics and a guitar; and that's what makes it so powerful.

12. Robbers: The 1975

From the album The 1975, this song is another powerful song that's good for a chill day. The lyrics tell a story, and when it hits the highest point it's hard to resist singing along with Matt Healy. Not to mention that accent; ugh. (Speaking of, UGH! is a pretty good song, too.)

13. Below My Feet: Mumford and Sons

Like I said, I'm a huge Mumford Fan. Below My feet is a strong ballad drawn from one of their early albums--I'm talking their folk days. Babel is probably one of their most well-known albums, and if you like Below My Feet, you definitely need to hear the rest of the songs. Like many other Mumford songs, the lyrics to this song are incredibly powerful, relatable, and the way Marcus Mumford sings them makes it impossible not to sing (or even yell) along.

14. FOOLS: Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan is probably most well known for his song MY YOUTH, from the album Blue Neighbourhood, the same album that FOOLS came from. This song has really good vibes, the music behind the lyrics is catchy, and the lyrics themselves are super relatable. If you liked Love Won't Sleep by LostBoyCrow (#4 on the list) check this song out pronto--and if you like this song, listen to more Troye Sivan.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
