If your mom was anything like mine then she probably forced you to listen to Janet Jackson until you started to like it - which is their whole plan after all.

I am a huge music buff, meaning I'm pretty much like the go to DJ of the seven friends I have. I currently have about 1,100 songs on my phone and I am always finding more to acquire whether it is from the radio or scores from TV shows and movies (speaking of scores my favorite scores now are from Game of Thrones and Baby Driver which is a must see movie!). Lately I have been listening to a lot of '80s music without me even knowing they were from '80s and it had me thinking, I would really much rather listen and enjoy music from the '80s than what is on the radio now. Here are a few that you will see me rocking out and jamming to 25/8 and I hope you all rock out and jam out with me.

1. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley

No I am not trying to Rick Roll you, I just really enjoy this song. My mom makes fun of me for listening to this but all I can say is, NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU.

2. Tell it to My Heart - Taylor Dayne

Tell it to my heart, tell me I'm the only one. Is this really love or just a game?

3. Take On Me - a-ha

C'mon you all know this song. Everyone and their mom's sister knows this song.

4. Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Eurythmics

Some of them want to use you, some of the want to be used by you. I listen to this song when I run and it gets me so pumped sometimes I have to stop and walk because I start to dance it out.

5. Nasty - Janet Jackson

If your mom was anything like mine then she probably forced you to listen to Janet Jackson until you started to like it - which is their whole plan after all. This was only one of the many songs I endured and some bonus information, Paula Abdul choreographed this video. Speaking of Paula Abdul ...

6. Cold Hearted - Paula Abdul

You all saw that episode of Lip Sync Battle with Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum right? And you all saw where Jenna kicked her husbands butt with this song and ever since I watched it this song has been stuck in my head so now I'm going to get it stuck in yours.

7. Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield

YOU KNOW THAT I WISH I HAD JESSIE'S GIRL

8. Tainted Love - Soft Cell

I know this is just a cover but c'mon guys, Soft Cell KILLED IT. Whenever this song comes on, I make my whole family shut up because I have to listen to it in peace and quiet to get the whole effect of its greatness.

9. Come On Eileen - Dexys Midnight Runners

This song right here. That's all I can say.

10. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

Guns N' Roses, I mean, need I say more?

11. Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears

We will find you acting on your best behavior, turn your back on mother nature, EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD.

12. Push It - Salt-N-Pepa

PUSH IT REAL GOOD.

13. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go - Wham!

I wanna hit that hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

14. True Colors - Cyndi Lauper

My youngest sister is four and she walks around singing this song, I think that shows just how good it is.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
