We all have friends, some people have a lot and some have a few. Unfortunately, in life friends come and go. Being a person and meeting someone for the first time it’s hard knowing if someone is gonna be a true friend to you or not. I’m here to discuss the fourteen ways to know if someone is your true friend or not.

1. Your true friends will call you out when you’re wrong.

2. Your true friends are going to support you through everything you go through, the good and the bad.

3. Keeping you humble and level-headed is another sign of a true friend.

4. A true friend is happy to see you succeed in life.

5. When you feel comfortable enough to go in your friend's refrigerator without asking them is a for sure sign they’re your true friend.

6. When you’re out with your friend and you stop to tie your shoe and they stop too. Yep, that’s a true friend.

7. Another way to know someone is your true friend is even if y’all have differing opinions they don’t yell at you for those different opinions.

8. A true friend doesn’t need to bring other people to hang out with you.

9. True friends will care about you just as much as you care about them.

10. A true friend respects your family and will show up to important invites.

11. A true find has a positive outlook on certain situations and doesn’t bring negativity into situations.

12. Sometimes your family are the only true friends you’ll have. They will be with you through thick and thin.

13. Another sign of a true friend is trusting your friend enough to leave your door unlocked when they come over and have them just walk in.

14. Lastly, a true friend will bring out the best in your and always make you laugh a lot when you’re together.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
