We all have our good days, our bad ones, and our just plain meh ones. Regardless of where you are in your life right now, here are some of my favorite empowering reminders that keep me grounded, confident, motivated, uplifted, content, and (most importantly) empowered.

1. When you need a reminder that your identity can have many labels.

2. When you need a reminder to stop caring so much about what others are doing.

3. When you need a reminder to feel yourself and your look.

4. When you need a reminder to rise above and be the bigger person.

5. When you need a reminder to support your sisters.

6. When you need a reminder that you are entitled to your feelings, how little or how many they are.

7. When you need a reminder that your invisible battles are real, valid, and hard, but worth fighting.

8. When you need a reminder to show the floaters the door.

9. When you need a reminder of your strength.

10. When you need a reminder to get out and see the vastness and the diversity that this world has to offer.

11. When you need a reminder that it is okay, and actually wonderful to stand up for yourself.

12. When you need a reminder to take care of yourself.

13. When you need a reminder to get out of your comfort zone.

14. When you need a reminder to share your heart with the world unconditionally.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
