The greatest gift you can give your dad this Father's Day is the gift of time. Whether you have a meaningful conversation over a meal or no conversation at all while watching a movie, he will appreciate your time spent together. Here are 14 activities to help you celebrate and bond with the father figures in your life.

1. Take him out for a meal

Food is always the answer. Always.

2. Play golf or mini golf

Give him a run for his money. If you're not much of a golfer, let him take pride in teaching you how to up your game.

3. Take him out to a ball game

Bond over hot dogs, cheese fries and a good game.

4. Go for a bike ride

Take advantage of a nice day by getting some fresh air and exercise!

5. Go fishing

Make a weekend out of it and enjoy valuable time together in the great outdoors.

6. Take a hike

Nature and bonding seem to go hand in hand. Turn of your phones and get lost on a hike with the fam.

7. Have a movie night

Watch a new movie, an old movie or break out the home videos your dad worked so hard on all those years. Make sure to grab snacks because no movie is complete without them.

8. Have a family picnic or cook out

Once again, food is always the answer! A dad full of food is a happy dad.

9. Treat him to breakfast in bed

Breakfast is the best. Beds are soft and snug. When combined, they produce an extremely comfortable state of being.

10. Help him with yard work

Offer him your not so professional assistance in anything and everything related to yard work.

11. Keep it simple and order pizza

For one meal or for every meal. The choice is yours (and your father's). Choose wisely.

12. Visit a brewery

Take a tour to learn all about how beer is made and enjoy some tasting!

13. Grab ice cream

There's nothing like a sweet treat to top off a superb day with a superb dude.

14. Build something

Be creative, turn on some tunes and get to work on producing a masterpiece.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
