Reading ghost stories or spooky stories anytime of the year is acceptable but it's Halloween season. It's the perfect time to read them! Here's a list of 13 books and authors that will get you in the Halloween mood. Enjoy!

1. H.P. Lovecraft

This is a must. The Call of Cthulu is one I can personally recommend the most.

2. "Frankenstein" Mary Shelly

3. "Dracula" by Bram Stocker.

Bram Stocker: writing about vampires before it was cool.

4. Edgar Alan Poe.

This is another necessary addition to anyone's Haloween book collection. Spooky stories, chilling poetry, what’s not to love.

5. "The Women in Black" by Susan Black

This is a novel but it’s short and keeps you turning the pages in only the way a good ghost story can. And yes it is that one horror movie that Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry Potter) was in.

6. "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman

It may look like a children's book, and maybe it is a children's book, but it's a charming coming of age story with illustrations everyone should read.

7. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs

8. "Thirsty" by M.T. Anderson

Vampire book in the modern era spooky, hilarious, and oddly relatable.

9. Anything by Stephen King.

He’s big nowadays, what with his movies, but reading his works is a whole other experience. The Shining is a good place to start if you a new to Stephen King.

10. "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" by Shirley Jackson

11. "And Then There Where None" by Christie Agatha

Anything by Christie Agatha is perfect for anyone who loves a spooky story with a criminal twist.

12. "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekell and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson

13. "Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicker

Yes, this is a children’s series but it is full of intrigue, mystery, and, of course, several unfortunate events. Truly anyone of any age could enjoy this.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
