Even though you act like you are always at the daycare, you wouldn’t trade it for the world. The kids fill you with so much happiness, even if they are having a day full of tears. As much as you fall in love with their little chubby cheeks and legs, they fall into a routine of seeing you when they are at school, and missing you when they aren’t there. With that, you create an impact on them just as much as they do to you. Being a daycare teacher comes with a special type of therapy that only a few are blessed to experience.
1. You call the bathroom "potty."
*Goes shopping with friends*
"Guys, I have to potty.
2. You come home after working all day, and you are still using your baby voice.
3. You talk to everyone like they are two.
"Now friends, we should be using our inside voices right now."
4. Using fingers in paint doesn’t faze you.
5. You constantly quote Dr. Seuss.
"I do not like that Sam I am."
6. You expect a hug from everyone when you arrive and when you leave.
The kids treat you like a celebrity, so everyone should.
7. You can sing all of the nap-time songs like karaoke.
If a child stays awake, you better bet they are going to get a concert.
8. You’re constantly counting how many people you are with to assure everyone is there.
*Takes head count of everyone at the lunch table to make sure they are all accounted for*
9. You call everyone kids.
"When are the kids coming over?" Meaning: when are your friends coming over?
10. You always have to be entertaining people.
God forbid the kids get bored for one second, you know they are getting into trouble.
11. When something unfortunate happens, you immediately tell people it will be okay.
*Friend drops their notebook*
“Uh oh! It’s okay! You’re okay!”
12. You tell everyone how much you love your job.
“I have the best job ever! I get to play with babies all day!”
13. You tell everyone how stressed out you get because of work.
"Oh my word, Susie wouldn't stop crying today!"
