As a telemarketer, I understand what's its like to be the customer, but I don't understand when customers are outright rude. I understand what it's like to get random calls wanting to scam you, but I don't understand when people automatically think that's who I am. Here are 13 things to keep in mind next time you receive a call from a telemarketer.

1. Don't lie.

You know what the most annoying thing is about my job? People acting like they know what I'm talking about just to get me to shut up. Most of the people who say "NO!" do this.

2. We know you're tired of the stupid calls.

We get them just as much as you do.

3. Don't be rude.

So is it me, you aren't interested in our amazing and FREE offer, or do you think I'm a scammer?

4. Stop acting like we are wasting your time.

Because your wasting ours.

5. Listen.

You're more than likely going to be interested, but stop just nodding and ignoring what I have to say. Many times this happens they act like they know what I'm talking about when, clearly, they don't.

6. We got your phone number because YOU took the survey.

You should have not taken it then or give us your number if you're so angry.

7. Don't hang up.

I've had encounters with those who took our survey in store then I say three words before they hang up.

8. Don't make false impressions.

LET ME SPEAK. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO SCAM YOU.

9. It's OK if you aren't interested.

Just be nice and respectful about it, please.

10. We aren't allowed to be mean on the phone.

But that doesn't stop us from telling each other that your a jerk (and that's the nice way of putting it).

11. Have patience.

This goes back to being RESPECTFUL. I had one guy who just passed the phone to his wife he was so mad.

12. Have patience again.

Give me time to find my rebuttal before hanging up!

13. Remember I'm a human just like you.

I understand your viewpoint, and I do have feelings.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
