We all have those one or two friends that have stuck like glue since before we could remember. You can't imagine life without them or their constant support and love, their sense of humor, or their family being just as much yours as theirs. These are the girls that will be by your side when you get married, and you've always known that.

1. They know everything about you.

These are the girls that saw you through all of your stages, cringe and all. From your bangs in sixth grade to the raccoon eyes phase in middle school to your senior year in high school, they have been with you through it all. Not only were they with you through it all, they did the exact same thing.

2. You have different interests but you can always agree on something.

One of your friends is the theater geek, the other is the workaholic and the other is the athlete. You're all totally different, but you can all agree that sleepovers in footie pajamas playing Just Dance 3 is the best way to spend a weekend you're all actually in one place. You can always agree on the middle school jams to blast in the car on your way to brunch or going out.

3. No matter how much time passes between seeing each other, it feels like you just talked to each other yesterday.

My two best friends are both over six hundred miles away from me when I'm at school, so our lives are very different. On the rare occasion that we can all hop on a Skype call at the same time, we talk for hours. It's like we're in elementary school again and we see each other every day.

4. You can never stay mad at them.

Maybe they did something that you didn't particularly agree with, but you spend about one minute being mad and then it's back to laughing and making new jokes about it. They're your other half, and there's no way you can be seriously angry with them.

5. They know what you need to hear when you don't.

These girls will get you through any situation, whether it be a failed math test, boy drama or a family issue; they have your back no matter what. They'll call you when they sense something wrong, and they'll pick up the phone and facetime you in a dining hall if you really need to talk. They go out of their way to make you feel appreciated and supported.

6. You have more inside jokes than you can count.

When you've been friends for over 12 years, you definitely have more than your fair share of jokes that have you laughing until you cry. Sometimes, you can even just give them the look when someone outside of the friend group says something even remotely close to one of your jokes, and you'll all bust a gut.

7. Their moms are your second moms.

You realize how lucky you are to have more than one mother and their moms treat you like their own daughter. They'll give you boy advice, ice cream when you're sad, and they'll keep you in check when you need it too. You may even have inside jokes with their moms since you basically live at their houses when you're all home. Their mom is literally Amy Poehler from Mean Girls.

8. Saying goodbye to them takes an hour.

But we have to catch up before we leave their house after a sleepover during winter break because you won't see them until May. You have to hug every member of their family at least two or three times before you're even allowed to leave the house. Leaving your friends behind when you go back to school is almost as hard as leaving your dog.

9. You bicker with their siblings like they're your own brother or sister.

You're literally so close to them that their entire family has been kind of adopted into yours. You fight with them like you do with your siblings at home, so it's almost as if you never leave their house. Your siblings are friends with theirs, and it's all thanks to you two.

10. You know where they keep the extra house key.

It's not uncommon to be hanging out in their house when they aren't there. You can literally walk in and feel like you just walked into your own house. You eat their cookie dough, play with their dog and chat with their parents, without them even being there.

11. They were your snow day pals.

Every. Single. Snow day. You were either sledding with them or curling up on one of your couches with a steaming mug of hot cocoa watching The Princess Bride. There's no denying that your snow day buddies are your buddies for life.

12. They're the first people you ask about anything.

Whether that's boys, an outfit, a class to take or what to get at brunch. You consult them about everything from the nail polish on your toes to the hairstyle you're rocking that day. They know when your ideas are either terrible or brilliant, and they'll definitely let you know how they feel about it .

13. You never even considered having anyone else be your bridesmaids.

These girls have been by your side through it all, and they know you almost better than you know yourself. It's probably one of the most obvious choices you'll ever have to make. They've wiped away tears, laughed until you can't breathe, supported all your endeavors, and loved you unconditionally. They'll be your best friends until the end of time.

Thank you to the friends that have always been there through thick and thin. I'm so happy to have you in my life, can't wait for you to be my bridesmaids.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
