I saw Beyoncé live for the first time about four years ago. Not to be dramatic, but it changed my life.
I am now blessed enough to say I will be seeing her yet again in California at Coachella next month.
During high school, I went through a Beyoncé-obsessed phase. Her music was the only music I listened to (or cared about, for that matter). And at my Sweet 16 I literally walked out to her song "Grown Woman."
In all seriousness, she is extremely talented. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but she has an incredible voice and can dance like no one else. She also writes most of her own music.
I can still feel the adrenaline through my veins when Bey and Jay Z came out singing "On The Run" for the "On The Run Tour." Her notorious RBF and cross-armed stance made the crowd go wild.
Whenever I'm feeling down and out, I know there's nothing a little Beyoncé music can't fix. Here are 13 Beyoncé songs that make me happy every single time.
1. Schoolin' Life
"Who needs a degree when you're schoolin' life?" was my senior quote...
2. Drunk in Love
3. 7/11
Forever and always the best song to jam to.
4. Partition
I know every single word.
5. Irreplaceable
Name a better break-up song.
6. Ring off
7. Sorry
Easily her most bad a** song.
8. Love On Top
9. Single Ladies
I lied about #4; this one wins.
10. Diva
11. If I Were A Boy
Definitely one of those songs you scream the lyrics to.
12. Hold Up
13. XO
For whatever reason this song always makes me cry.
