There's nothing better than a good worship set list. The right set of music can change your mood, the atmosphere, or even your current perspective on life. These are some songs that if you don't currently hold in your music collection, you need to get immediately.
These are songs to encourage your heart, a playlist composed of newer songs and classic hymns.
12. Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing by Mumford and Sons
Mumford and Sons is a great band and this is a powerful song. It contains one of the best lyrics, "bind my wandering heart to thee."
11. Live Like You're Loved by Hawk Nelson
For anyone who needs a reminder of how they are loved, this song is for you.
10. How Deep the Father's Love For Us by Liberty Campus Band.
You can't beat this campus band CD and this song, in particular, is wonderful. Everyone needs to be firmly reminded of the love our Father has for us.
9. Called Me Higher by All Sons and Daughters
All Sons and Daughters is a fantastic band. This song is one of my favorites because it serves the reminder that we can stay exactly where we are, but He wants more from us. Simply because He loves us.
8. Wasteland by Needtobreathe
"If God is on my side, who can be against me?"
7. Praise You In This Storm by Casting Crowns
In terms of songs that encourage the heart, this is really important. We don't love Christ because we don't have trials, but because we can find ways to praise Him and see His love through them.
6. Great Is Thy Faithfulness by Jordan Smith
If you missed this song on the Voice this past season, it is time listen to it. One of the best performances done by Jordan Smith of an absolutely beautiful song.
5. It Is Well by Kristene DiMarco and Bethel Music
The original "It Is Well" is a powerful song and this is an incredible version. Another great reminder that no matter what is going on, He has us and it will all be okay.
4. We Dance by Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger and Bethel Music
"And I will lock eyes with the One who's chosen me, the One who set my feet for dancing."
3. In Christ Alone by Kristan Stanfill
This is my all-time favorite worship song. Someone once described it to me as a perfect summary of the gospel. There are a lot of great versions of this song out there, but this one is one of my personal favorites.
2. You Are My Vision by Rend Collective
A new twist on a wonderful hymn.
1. You Make Me Brave by Amanda Cook and Bethel Music
"No fear will hinder now the love that made a way." Through all things, He makes us brave. You are not alone, not fearful, and incredibly loved.
A Psalm for giving thanks. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! -Psalm 100:1-2.
