We're "those" dog parents. We have a lot of dog stuff, but sometimes dog stuff merges with our human essentials. However, the reason why we become hardcore pet parents is because we love our pets and want them to have the best for them. Trust me, if you relate to some or all of these things in your daily life, you're a hardcore dog parent.

1. You have a bin of dog toys.

What? I buy one for each holiday! Plus I have "Star Wars" ones.

2. You own several mugs with dogs on them.

Oh, ya know, the whole #1 Dog Mom mug is a classic.

3. You keep poop bag rolls in your purse.

Low key, I don't know how they got in there.

4. There's a leash here and a leash there.

You can never have too many. Mine have different patterns.

5. Your dog rotates multiple dog tags.

What, I like to change them! My dog has a Patriots one and a "Hello, my name is..." I want one that has mountains on it!

6. You stash an overload of treats/rawhides.

What, there was a great sale at PetSmart and at Petco! I couldn't resist stocking up!

7. There are canvas prints of your dog in the house.

I needed a portrait of her for the wall.

8. You always carry a bag of training treats with you.

What if I meet a dog and I want to be friends with it? Treats help me do that!

9. When you say, "Sorry, I can't; my dog ate my paycheck."

You know you spoil your dog a lot when you say that.

10. When you include your dog in your family photos on the holidays.

My dog got pajamas the past two Christmas to match me.

11. You try to take your dog everywhere you go.

Literally. I used to take her to work when I worked at a barn cleaning stalls in the mornings. She became a barn dog.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
