As finals draw nearer, so does spring break! Spring time in Washington is much anticipated for the many long, rainy winter months we’ve had to endure. Here are 12 ways us Washingtonians know that springtime is approaching in Bellingham:
1. People sun bathing in front of Old Main.
2. Dog owners show off their buddies.
3. People are wearing shorts and flip flops in 60-degree weather.
4. The arboretum tower is never empty.
5. Frisbee circles and hammocks are EVERYWHERE!
6. You realize you go to a school with 15,000 people as you walk through campus.
7. Everyone is smiling.
8. Except those protestors.
9. Your afternoon class is close to empty.
10. The fountain turns back on.
11. Chalk drawings are scattered across the bricks all over campus.
12. You see Oyster Dome pictures posted every other day on Facebook by some friend or another.
