The end of spring semester is just around the corner, and I think we can all agree spring semester is much more stressful than fall. With summer approaching and the improving weather, the motivation to attend classes and complete assignments seems to be dropping drastically. If you're a second semester college student, your end of the semester might look a little like these moments from "How I Met Your Mother."

1. When you realize there are only five weeks left in the semester to raise your grade from a C to an A.

It's somewhat intimidating when you reach the end of the semester and you realize you're almost out of time to increase your grade, especially when the majority of the points have already been rewarded in the course already. Looks like these five weeks are going to be the five most hell-filled weeks of the semester.

2. When you're running late for class and you get stuck behind another campus tour group.

It never fails. Every single morning when I'm running late for class, I always seem to run into tour groups. Every. Single. Time.

3. When the professor says the final will be cumulative,

Although this shouldn't be entirely surprising, considering it's listed distinctly in the syllabus, I am always a little disappointed when I hear the final exam will be cumulative.

4. ...And there will not be a curve.

"There will not be a curve on this exam." It is the single sentence that breaks hearts across college campuses everywhere.

5. Realizing you need 117% on the final exam to get a B in the class.

This is the one and only time I will be able to accurately do math. Unfortunately, calculating grades can either motivate you for the rest of the semester, or make you lose motivation all together, depending on the score you need on the final exam to boost you up another letter grade.

6. Taking advantage of the rare moments when you are actually motivated to study.

There are the rare moments when I am actually motivated to study. These occurrences don't arise very often though, so you have to take advantage of them when they happen, even if it is 3 a.m. on a Friday night.

7. When you finally reach your breaking point after five assignments, two lab reports, and three exams in one week.

We have all experienced these weeks, the dreadful ones when you're stuck doing a month's worth of work within seven days. Eventually, you will reach a breaking point, whether it's on the bus or waiting in line in the dining hall; it will come. Be prepared.

8. When you're trying to lead a group study session but suddenly forgot everything you've learned the entire semester.

This feeling is not confined to leading a group study session. It could be during a class presentation or during an exam. The possibilities are infinite.

9. When one person isn't doing their work in the group project.

In every group project, there's always one person who doesn't seem to do their work and everybody else has to pick up their slack. It's endlessly frustrating.

10. When it's finally nice outside and you can't focus on anything but the sun and 60 degree temperatures.

I am more than guilty of gazing out the window in class instead of paying attention, and postponing homework until 11 p.m. when it's dark and (relatively) cold outside. It may not be possible in lectures with 300 students, but I will not hesitate to ask my freshman seminar professor to hold class outside if it's nice and sunny.

11. "You will not do well on this exam if you wait to study until the night before."

I do this every single semester and regret it every time. Just don't do it.

12. When the weekend finally rolls around.

When the weekend finally rolls around, nothing is better than hanging out with your friends and ignoring schoolwork for a night or two.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
