Ah, spring! The birds are twittering, the frost melts away, the days get longer and the sun seems to shine brighter. It's a period of awakening from the deep sleep of winter, and it is beautiful. But then comes...POLLEN. As every allergy sufferer knows, you must fear it even if you can't see it. If you can see it, you're going to be miserable. So comes a predictable pattern of thought.
1. Such beautiful flowers!
2. Whoops. I got too close.
3. I think my nose is tingling.
4. DON'T RUB YOUR EYES.
5. OK, just rub them a little.
6. CURSES!
7. Sneezing, sneezing, sneezing...
8. I'm definitely dying.
9. I'll take a Benadryl. That will solve this.
10. Coma.
11. Groggy wake up.
12. I hate you, spring.
Wake me back up when the dust -- I mean pollen -- settles.
