I love being home for the summer; I get to see my family, some old classmates and friends, and relax a little more than when I'm at school. There's no school, fewer obligations and extra time to relax. Spending time outdoors is all I wanted to do during the last month of school, and now that I'm home for the summer; I have that opportunity, occasionally.
Sometimes, though, I think people hype up summer a little more than necessary. Yes, summer is awesome for the above reasons. But once you're in college and home for the summer, nothing is the same as it used to be. Friends are scarce in your hometown, you have a full-time job and you're just worn out from the school year so all you want to do is sleep, relax and be lazy.
