I don't know a single person who actually likes Monday. It feels like everything goes by slower, and you're ten times as tired as normal. Yet we all have to go through this monotonous day once a week. So in honor of the day we all wish didn't exist; here's ten things you go through on a Monday.

1.

Waking up to that dreaded first morning alarm. Getting out of bed is a task all by itself. The sheets are so comfy why should you leave? Then the question on everyone's mind; 'Alright I'm up, when can I go back to bed?'

2. Finding something to wear, while reminding yourself why you have to be awake. The existential dread of going with your day while trying to find something decent to wear is pure chaos. You don't HAVE to look presentable at all times.

    3. Getting your first coffee of the day. Your half awake senses' can smell the aroma in the air. Suddenly the tired feeling is beginning to wear off. Well on the bright side you don't look like a walking corpse anymore.

      4. Pulling up to work and asking yourself in the mirror if its worth it or not. Debating if being a bum is really all that bad of an option. Having a mental breakdown before deciding you need that money/education. Check. We're good to go now.

        5. Figuring out you work with your favorite co-worker. Whats better than working with your favorite person? Not working today, but we don't need to think about that. It makes the day go by faster, and you know everything will get done smoothly because you can be a team.

        6. Having someone get an attitude with you for no reason. Nothing is worse than having a conversion with someone who needs an attitude adjustment. Its the first day of the week, how are you already so pissed off?

          7. Messing something up, then pretending you didn't do it. No one will know it was you if you just walk away slowly.

            8. Finally getting off work. The gut feeling of a job well done after a long day of wishing you were somewhere else. You might go home tired, but at least you can rest knowing you spent the day being productive.

              9. Cracking open a bottle of wine for your Netflix binge. One thing you learn when you turn 21; is that you can never have too much wine. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a damn liar. You won't say this is an everyday routine, but on a Monday its just what you need to make laying on your couch an elegant affair.

              10. Binge watching a Netflix series. Every episode you watch helps you push all your weekly responsibilitys to the back of your head. Which is why you're pretty sure you need to watch a whole season or ten.

                11. Freaking out about all the stuff you haven't done, while trying to eat something. It's totally normal to cry in your bathroom, while eating ice cream at 1 am. Right?

12.Laying down for bed. You don't think you'll ever understand how you can be tired all day, than the second you lay down for bed your mind is wide awake. The best part is that you have a constant reminder that its only the beginning of the week. You have to do it all over again tomorrow.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
