Roommates are there for you in the best of times, the worst of times, the craziest of times and the mellowest of times. In them, you find a therapist, a singing partner, and a bad influence (or perhaps the best influence). Your dependence on each other grows more and more every day as they help guide you through your college career. If you are lucky enough to have a roommate, you have probably asked them these questions:
1. What happened last night?
Yes, unfortunately in college you have moments like these, but fear not! Your roommate is there to fill you in and make sure you make it back in one piece.
2. Can I borrow something? I have no clothes!
About a month into school, you realize that what's in your closet will simply not do. Fortunately, you have been eyeing your roommates closet and can borrow something from them.
3. Can I Instagram this?
As if you would ever post something on social media without consultation. What if you used the wrong filter?
4. Should I go to class?
When asking your roommate this question you are hoping they will answer with "NO!" Because admit it, you already decided, you are just looking for the approval.
5. When do you end class?
It's the same time every week, but you never seem to remember.
6. Can you *insert favor* for me?
Whether it be turning off the lights, closing the door, helping her do homework or any simple task. Your roommate is there to help you in times of laziness.
7. Can you make sure I'm up in the morning?
Roommates are there to be your human alarm clock and number one motivator.
8. Can you come to the (gym/library) with me?
Good roommates never expect you to complete milestones like this alone.
9. Are you hungry?
AKA: Can you eat something with me? Because I'm starving!
10. What should we do for dinner?
The question, "Are you hungry?" is normally followed up with this, because even if she answers no, your not going to eat alone.
11. What are we doing tonight?
Your roommate is your partner in crime, you can't possibly go out without them!
12. Should I wear this?
In this case, Gretchen Wieners says it all.
Your roommate is there to help you function from day to day. How could you possibly live without them?
