Finals week is almost here. It is the week all college students dread and stress about the most. It always feels like somehow you won't survive it. If only you can make it through the weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter Break, but the stress of finals makes it almost unbearable. Here are some easy ways to get through finals week this year:

1. Make a to do list.

Sit down and make a to do list for all the finals, projects and papers you have upcoming for the next few weeks and finals week. This way you will be able to clearly see everything you have to do and you won't forget anything.

2. Find your study spot.

If you already don't have a go-to study spot, this is the time to find one. The library is going to be jammed packed the next few weeks. So find your spot and the place you will be able to get all your work done. Think of other places but the library, like the Student Center, coffee shops, etc.

3. Limit your socializing.

Obviously, still make time for your friends. However, before you head out on Thursday and Saturday night, think about if you should really be going out or socializing too much when your to do list is a mile long.

4. Take breaks.

Between studying, writing your papers or working on final projects take breaks. Don't cram too much and get overwhelmed. Take time to relax too.

5. Get sleep.

An all nighter may sound like a good idea, but it isn't. Get sleep. Go to bed early. Stay well rested during these stressful weeks.

6. Have a drink.

A glass of wine always helps de-stress and relax during finals.

7. Drink water and eat healthy.

It will be really easy to want to drink nothing but coffee and eat the worst foods you can find betweens studying. However, it is so important to drink some water and stay healthy while you're so busy.

8. Remember to time manage.

Don't give too much time or attention to one subject or final. Remember to manage your time and devote enough attention to everything.

9. Turn off your phone.

Take a break from all those notifications and social media. It will help you relax so much and it will also help you get a lot done.

10. Join a study group.

During finals, lean on your classmates and your professors. Form study groups and get help from others.

11. Get a change of scenery.

Step outside the library and get a change of view. Even if it is just for a break. Get out of your dorm or where ever you are. It will help you get a chance for fresh air and somewhere to relax.

12. Remember to breath and remind yourself it will be okay.

Finals are stressful, but you got this! You will survive and everything will be okay. Take a deep breath. Get some fresh air. It will be okay.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
