It is officially the best season of the year, also known as fall. Fall is such an amazing time of the year before the holidays come and before the winter. Everything just feels so fun and exciting. My favorite thing about fall is all the fun activities you can do! Here are 12 fun and simple fall activities you can do this year!

1. Go to a pumpkin patch.

Going to a pumpkin patch in the fall is so much fun and exciting. You can pick out pumpkins, ride a hay ride, take fun fall pics and so much more.

2. Go to a haunted house.

This is on my fall bucket list! There are so many haunted houses everywhere and they can be so much fun. Grab some friends and go get scared at a pumpkin patch. There are a ton of Haunted Houses locally, check out The Haunted Schoolhouse in Akron.

3. Watch Halloween movies.

The absolute best part of the fall is all the Halloween movies! Disney classics such as, the "Halloweentown" series, "Hocus Pocus," "Twitches" and many more are must sees this season. You can cuddle up and have a perfect movie night.

4. Bake those seasonal sugar cookies.

Okay, the pumpkin and ghost season cookies are hands down the best things ever. Baking them is such a fun time.

5. Go through a corn maze.

I went through a corn maze last year and it was so much fun! Grab some friends and get lost together. Rufener Hilltop Farms has a corn maze you can explore. It also has hayrides and a pumpkin patch. You can do so many fall activities at once.

6. Have a bonfire and eat smore's.

Having a bonfire is so much fun. Grab some close friends and just hang out around the fire, eating smore's and hanging out.

7. Go to a Halloween party.

Dress up as something fun and have a Halloween party with some friends.

8. Go to a football game.

If you go to Kent, you're probably rolling your eyes at this one, because who cares about our football team or the games? But games can be so much fun! Grab some friends and show some school spirit at a football game this season. Check out the fall Kent State schedule and go to a game!

9. Get a pumpkin spice latte.

Embrace your inner basic girl and get a PSL this season.

10. Go on a hay ride.

Hay rides can be so much fun and exciting. Go on one and have fun.

11. Go apple picking.

Apple orchards and apple picking are both fun fall activities too. You don't have to just pick pumpkins. There's an apple orchard right here in Kent! Beckwith Orchards is the perfect place to go to this fall.

12. Make apple pie.

The best part of the fall is you can make apple pie and pumpkin pie and enjoy them in the nice fall weather.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
