12 Things You Know If You're That Girl Who Always Travels

I don't know about anyone else but I tend to cringe at the thought of dragging my suitcase through a crowded airport and every time I do it I always think the same things.

Airports can be a hassle and if you’re a frequent flyer you know the struggles. Between the people late for their flight to those who have no idea what’s going on, here are some of the things you know if you are a girl that likes travel and flies.

1. Your underwire will set off the security alarms.

You know it and the TSA agent knows it too. I still don't understand why this glitch hasn't been resolved but until it is I'll be stuck back here being searched while my travel companions wait on the other side.

2. You are willing to spend 5 dollars on a granola bar with no regrets.

Food is precious and flying will make you hungry. Sure you could bring one from home but you always forget about it till you see the market place.

3. If you have hair that goes past your shoulders it will be searched.

TSA will rifle through your long locks and essentially turn it into a rats nest. Note to self; always have a brush in your carry on.

4. You can try to deny it but you know that the moving walkway is fun.

Who can honestly say that they don't love a giant treadmill?

5. Any arrival time less than 2 hours early is unacceptable.

You know good and well that the Starbucks line is a mile long and if your flight is before 8 am then it is worth it.

6. TSA pre-check is a gift sent from the heavens and should not be taken for granted.

I love my friends and family but when I get TSA pre-checked I take full advantage. I will be waiting for you at the gate with Starbucks in hand.

7. The drug dogs can bring an abrupt end to your trip but that doesn't stop them from being the cutest things on your trip.

Sure they make you a little nervous when they spend a little too long sniffing your bag but you will still give them a look of affection after.

8. When that cute guy walks into your gate..

As soon as you see him sit down you and your friend make eye contact and you start praying that his seat is next to yours.

9. You wonder how the flight attendants can look so good this early.

I know that I look like a sack of potatoes when I fly.

10. A cheap Uber is priceless and rare.

As a seasoned flyer, you know the cheapest ways of transportation.

11. You hate the people that don't know how metal detectors work and hold up the security line.

The people that have 20 dollars worth of change in their pocket and 50 pieces of jewelry on. Everyone knows that you are going to go through security and that it includes a metal detector.

12. Although the airport is a pain in the a**, the experiences you get when traveling are worth the hassle.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
