12 Signs You're The "Grandma" In Your Friend Group

They couldn't live without you; but, admit it, you couldn't live without them either.

Being known as the “grandma” of the friend group is nothing less than an honor. You get to live the simpler life, you find joy in the smallest of things, you’re always a little too happy, and everyone would be lost without you. If you haven’t already adopted the “grandma” name, here are 10 ways you know you are one:

1. You're the first one to go to bed

Forget 2 a.m. nights; you're in bed by 10:30. Your friends don't even try bothering you after that point.

2. You're always reminding them of what they need to do

"Did you set up the appointment?" "Did you pay your tuition? It's due next week." "You should find a day this week to do your dishes." "Did you turn in any job applications this week?"

3. You call everyone "honey"

"Heeey, honey! Grandma missed you!" Everyone's honey - everyone.

4. You call them instead of text

Texting is so old school. Who even has the time or effort for that?

5. You care for them when they're sick

6. You find joy in the simple things (and get crap for it)

You will never stop getting made fun of for your nightgown, tea, and love for Dr. Phil. Truth be told, they think it's adorable though.

7. You're the one who cares for all the drunks

It doesn't matter whether it's your best friend, a complete stranger, or if you're also drunk - you're who they come to.

8. You give them the stern talks

They know not to crack jokes around you about not getting an assignment done; they know they're going to get the talk or the look.

9. But also overly reward them when they do something good

They come to you when they actually accomplish something. They got an A on their exam? "Way to go, honey! Icecream on me!"

10. Your door is always open and ready for guests

Whether they're having a bad day, a good day, feeling down, are bored, or just need someone to talk to - they know they always have a spot in "Grandma's house."

11. You keep everybody on track

You encourage them to do their schoolwork, you remind them of the things they need to get done, and you don't give up on them. You're who they come to when they need motivation.

12. They couldn't live without you (and they know it)

Who could live without Grandma?

Being "Grandma" is the best dang thing you've ever done. Cheers to us!

...and now it's bedtime.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
