Tennis is much more than just a sport, it's basically a lifestyle. If you have played tennis for quite some time, you will relate to the list below.
1. You love the smell & sound of freshly opened can of balls
This is just a sound and smell will never get old!
2. The terms "bagels" or "breadsticks" is more than just food
The real tennis players will know what I mean by this. If you get bageled or breadsticked, well you know it is not a good day for you. That means the person(s) you are playing against, just got the most satisfaction.
3. TennisWareHouse is your life
I bet that you have purchased a vast majority of your tennis attire for TW, as well as shoes.
4. You have tennis balls everywhere
Yep. You know exactly what I am referring too. In your car, purse, house, and tennis bag, that is where you can find an abundance of balls.
5. You have one arm that's bigger than the other
Whether if you have a one or two-handed backhand, it does not matter. It will look like you just work out one arm. See below.
6. Tanlines
Oh you know you have been asked, "Are you still wearing socks?" And if you are a female, you know the struggle when you were different types of tops. You are bound to have four different bra lines.
7. The hated saying
When you hear the words come out of your opponents mouth "are you sure?" Of course, I am sure, why else would I call you ball out? And you know you will not change your call because that is your pride.
8. Love means nothing to you
Literally, love means zero. And I have to agree, love all sounds much better than zero all. It just does not flow as well. Us tennis players know there are two types of love: love = zero, love = blood, sweat, tears.
9. Talking to yourself
You talk to yourself all the time when you are on the court. And to a non-tennis player, you might look like you crazy and are plotting an evil plan. Which I guess you are, to a certain extent.
10. You know that Continental, Eastern, and Full Western are not just breakfast options
They are grips and you most likely have a strong opinion on which one is the better one.
11. You know the real meaning of "mental toughness"
Oh yes, and you have most likely transferred what you have learned in tennis into your real life. You know, life and the game are both 90% mental.
12. You strongly believe that the only person you can rely on is yourself
I mean, and maybe your friends, family, and doubles partner.
