12 Relationship Things That Need To Stop RIGHT NOW

This list may come off as a little cynical, but when you're surrounded by people in relationships all day, every day, you get tired of all the little annoying things they do. These things include:

1. Dictating what the other wears.

Wearing a color because your significant other once told you that you look good in that color is one thing. But when we're getting ready to go out one night and someone says "Oh, gosh, I could never wear shorts out, my boyfriend would kill me," I get so annoyed. Who are you dating, your mother?

2. Excessive PDA.

Holding hands, hugging, little touches, a couple kisses here and there, that's all okay. But when you feel the need to constantly make out in the check out line in Walmart, I will get mad. Please stop.

3. The need for instant responses.

We live in the technology age and that means that we're almost always connected. So, while we may have our phones on us at all times, not texting back in two minutes does not mean that they're cheating on you.

4. One person buying everything.

I understand that it is "tradition" for the man to pay when a couple goes out on a date, but it unnecessary for one person in the relationship to pay for absolutely everything.

5. Trying to set up everyone around them.

Wow, your boyfriend has a brother, a cousin, and a best friend that are all single. Cool. No, please don't set me up with them.

6. Baby talk.

You are adults. Not children. Not animals. Please talk to each other like adults.

7. The photo shoots and Instagram posts.

Why are you guys strolling through an apple orchard? Why are you wearing matching clothing? Why is your (and now my) entire Instagram feed pictures of the two of you cuddled up on your bed? Please make it stop.

8. Griping about every little thing.

You complained about him chewing with his mouth open for two hours yesterday, I don't want to hear about it for another hour today. Can we talk about something interesting?

9. Becoming each other.

It start subtly, like wearing each other clothes, but then they are eating the same foods and yelling the same things at the TV and you feel like you are hanging out with one person who is this weird hybrid of two people I used to know.

10. Changing who they are when they're together.

No, you don't like football. You love milkshakes, why are you denying it now?

11. Constantly thinking the other is cheating.

Just because her phone is face down on the table, doesn't mean she's cheating. He can like other girl's photos without it meaning he's secretly seeing them. Calm down.

12. Publicly celebrating every single milestone.

You posted a picture for your one-year anniversary. And for your 13 month anniversary. And the one month anniversary of the first time you went and saw a movie together. Please celebrate the next one in private. Thank you.

From time to time, some of these things aren't as annoying and sometimes there are other things that couples do that are 10 times more annoying than everything on this list combined, but please, just try not to annoy everyone with your mushy gushy relationships, some of us are sad.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
