Summer- the season of long beach days, roadtrips, and barbeques.

On your summer adventures, what could be better than your favorite summer foods chilling in the cooler? That's right, nothing. Certain foods just scream summer, and are your go-to for the 3 months of summer we get to endure.

Such as:

1. Watermelon

On a hot summer day, not much can compare to a bowl of fresh cut watermelon.

2. Brats & Hamburgers

When dad fires up the grill, you know you'll be eating good.

3. Potato salad

One of my personal favorites. Eating potato salad in any other season is just weird.

4. S'mores

Sitting around the campfire and enjoying an ooey, gooey s'more is a favorite summer tradition of mine.

5. Beer

Not that beer isn't praised year round, but summer triggers a certain trait in everyone that makes them want to reach for a cold one.

6. Corn on the cob

Corn on the cob is obviously way better than that canned stuff you eat during the winter when your mom puts it in casseroles.

7. Freeze pops

Within the freezer of every suburban American is bound to be a box of freeze pops.

8. Kabobs

Once again, when the grill is fired up, it's going to be a good meal. Kabobs are special because they're more extravagant than hot dogs or burgers.

9. Juice boxes

They were delicious as a child and nothing has changed.

10. Ice cream

Similarly to beer, there's no ideal ice cream eating time, because ice cream is great all the time. However, there's something special about making a trip to your favorite ice cream shop in summer.

11. Fruit & veggie trays

At any given graduation party or family gathering in the summertime, there's bound to be a store-bought fruit and veggie tray.

12. Lemonade

A tall, refreshing glass of lemonade is always my go-to summer drink. Restaurants with flavored lemonades are the best.

After reading this mouth-watering article, do yourself a favor and pour a glass of lemonade before firing up the grill for dinner tonight.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
