11 Websites Every Student Who Lives On Campus Needs

For every student who lives on campus, getting ready for school not only includes getting school supplies and class schedules, but also what kind of posters, tapestries, bedding, or furniture will make their dorm room feel like their home away from home. Whether you live with roommates or by yourself, it's important to make your dorm feel like your personal space, while also keeping I'm mind how much space you have, your school's restrictions, and obviously, your budget. Here are great websites to help you do just that.

1. Bed Bath And Beyond

You could probably get everything you need just form BB&B. They have a tab on their website specifically for college students, and they have everything from kitchen appliances to cute storage bins to hanging lights. They can also get you a list of what your school does and doesn't allow, so you don't spend money on a coffee maker only to learn that they're a policy violation.

2. Target

Again, Target has just about everything you could need. From shower curtains to trash cans to first-aid kits, you can find all the essentials for cheap right here.

3. RedBubble

Posters are essential, right? Similar to Etsy, artists can submit their designs to RedBubble and select what kind of medium they want it to be displayed on. You can get unique stickers for your laptop or a poster for larger designs. Some of the artwork is also available as mugs, duvet covers, pillows, clothing, phone cases, and different sized prints.

4. Hot Topic

Don't roll your eyes. You know you need another graphic tee.

All joking aside, you can actually find nice fandom related posters on the Hot Topic website. Want to show your Hogwarts House pride? They have banners for that. They also have pretty frequent sales, which is always a plus.

5. SlugBooks

This is one every student needs. You simply put in the title of the textbook you need, and the site will show you all the places you can purchase or rent it and what the individual prices are. Can you ask for anything better?

6. Chegg

Chegg is one of the places SlugBooks checks out. Usually, books are the cheapest on this site. They're also incredibly helpful, and you can donate $1 of your purchase to help a student in need or to help Chegg plant trees.

7. Amazon

Really, do I even have to explain this one? Amazon has everything from string lights to books to food to movies. You need this website.

8. AllPosters

This is exactly what it sounds like. You can find literally thousands of reasonably-priced posters and signs here. You can also get them framed it you want!

9. Overstock

Like Target, you can find just about anything on this site. It's perfect for bedding and dorm decor.

10. TJ Maxx

Similar to Target, TJ Maxx allows you to purchase a wide variety of generally inexpensive items, including clothes and artsy stuff, which is perfect if you want to make your own decorations.

11. Dormify

Honestly, if you're not shopping at Dormify, you're doing dorm living wrong. They have all kinds of funny throw pillows, stylish bedding, tapestries, Greek letters, and a Nickelodeon-themed pillow set. What more can you ask for?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
