College is an exciting and nerve-wracking experience all
rolled into one, especially if you are an incoming freshman. Here are 11 times one of your favorite shows of the 2000s completely nailed the entire essence of being first-year college student.
1. College is a new start, a breath of fresh air.
It’s the beginning of the rest of your life and the four years you spend in
college will probably be some of the best years of your entire life. Enjoy it!
2. You will FINALLY choose your own schedule. Don’t wanna wake up before 9 a.m.? Well, you don’t have to (that is, as long as the scheduling gods are in your favor).
3. Let’s be real, you are bound to have at least one class or professor you dislike. But hey, why not turn it into a way to make friends based on your mutual feelings on the topic?
4. Sometimes, you have to pull all-nighters, there’s no fighting it. And for the nights that you do, caffeine will, hands down, become your best friend.
5. TBH, expect coffee to help get you through almost every day of the week. Sometimes you just can’t make it through those a.m. classes empty-handed.
6. Unfortunately, the freshman 15 is all too real. But hey, everyone needs to eat, so why not make new friends in the extremely, incredibly slow moving sandwich line?
7. Expect the rest of the world to ask you what you’re going to do for the rest of your life. ALL. THE. TIME. But what you need to know is that it’s perfectly okay not to know, college is the time to explore your interests and find your true passion in life.

8. College parties are as fun as the movies make them. Nothing makes a long week feel totally worth it like dancing with some friends with a red Solo cup in hand. It's the freakin' weekend, and I'm about to have me some fun.
9. Sometimes there are weekends where staying in can be just as fulfilling as going out.
10. You will definitely have your fair share of mental and emotional breakdowns. Whether it is over a paper due the same day you started it or over a recent breakup. But trust me, you WILL get through it.
11. Although freshman year of college can be scary and difficult at times, it is also the year that starts the rest of your life — you make more friends in addition to the ones you have at home, you have more freedom and you get to explore new things.
Embrace the change and be prepared for lots of laughs, challenges, tears, new experiences and some awesome people. Make your freshman year amazing one.
