High school is not the same for everyone. Some people call it the best four years of their life, others say they wish that it never happened. No matter who you are though, there is bound to be a few rough patches. So, take these 11 tips from a graduated senior, and put them to good use.

1. That boy you are convinced is going to be your husband one day? He'll most likely break your heart...multiple times.

2. That science test you have tomorrow is not the end all be all of your high school career. It's OK if you don't do well.

3. Your best friends now might not be your best friends forever. That's OK. Change can be really good.

4. Don't use social media as a personal outlet. Nothing good can come from ranting online.

5. If you go to a camp over the summer, keep in touch with your friends. High school can be daunting sometimes and you'll need people you can reach out to that you know won't judge you.

6. If it's warm out, go to your local sunset lookout spot. There is nothing more special than watching the sun set.

7. If it's cold out, bundle up next to the fire with your family for a movie night. Your family is just as important as friends.

8. Go to the dance, the big game, or the school play. Get involved! When you look back on high school, those are the things you'll remember most.

9. That girl that you fought with so much freshman year? She is probably going through a lot of what you're going through. Forgiveness is one thing you shouldn't live without.

10. Don't be afraid to share your opinion. Your peers could benefit from hearing another perspective every once in a while.

11. And finally, live each moment like there is no tomorrow. Tell your friends and family you love them. Tell that boy how you feel. Tell your teachers if they are talking too fast. No one is promised another day.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
