Arguably the most relatable character on television, Nick Miller is the epitome of a human being who has not figured out how to function in the real world. If you've ever watched "New Girl," you have probably found yourself laughing uncontrollably on more than one occasion. Although all of the roommates bring something different to the table, Nick Miller is exceptionally relatable. He ever so casually speaks the truth, and somehow makes every single situation as awkward as possible. As college students, I feel like it's safe to say that we all relate to him in one way or another. We're all confused most of the time and we make some really questionable decisions. Nick Miller is basically just a 30 year old college student. Anyone who has watched him has thought at one point "Yep, that's me." For this reason, I've put together a list of reasons why there is a little bit of Nick Miller in all of us.

1. When you have no money for groceries but you're starving and the only thing in your pantry is a bag of stale goldfish.

2. You don't know how to properly deal with stress, so you just panic-moonwalk away from your responsibilities.

3. Your friends all want to go out to dinner but you only have $0.03 in your checking account.

4. When you check Blackboard.

5. When you go to the career center to create a resume and the advisor asks of your accomplishments.

6. Everyone you know has their entire life planned out and you have no clue what is going on.

7. You're out with your friends and everyone wants to dance, but you know yourself well enough to know that if you start dancing, people will think something is wrong with you.

8. You wear the same outfit every single time you go out, hoping that no one notices.

9. Your professor asks you to answer a question in front of the entire lecture and you don't even actually know what the class is called.

10. You have that one song that you're embarrassed to love as much as you do (It's probably "Jordan Belfort").

11. You realize that you're in college and it isn't supposed to be easy. This is life, and one way or another you'll figure it out eventually.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
