11 Times 'Game Of Thrones' Left Me Speechless

Really, I still can't believe some of this happened.

Game of Thrones is hands down the best TV show I have ever watched. I'm the first to admit that I binge watched the first 5 seasons in about 3 days. No regrets. If you ever want to be extremely happy one minute, full out sobbing, (seriously happened to me so much), and then screaming from anger at your laptop screen the next then you've found the perfect show. I swear I went through this exact cycle about 300 times in 72 hours. It was a love-hate relationship. So, in honor of GoT coming back this summer, here are my top 11 moments (I would put them all in but sadly I can't) in Game of Thrones that left me wanting more or just speechless.

****SPOILER ALERT GALORE****

***Seriously I warned you***

11. Bran Stark being pushed through a window

This scene is the first one that starts it all. Honestly, Bran deserved better he was innocent and I will forever hate Cersei and Jamie.

10. When Arya got stabbed and my world stopped for a quick second

Arya has to be one of my all-time favorite characters, so when this happened I freaked out for a hot second. My reaction was priceless to her being stabbed and I just about turned the show-off.

9. When Brienne of Tarth had one job and she forgot

She had ONE JOB. All Brienne had to do was wait for the candle to be seen in the tower and she couldn't even do that. Such a frustrating moment and I'm never gonna let it go.

8. Ned Stark dying

This was one of those first season moments where I sat there crying for a solid 10 minutes after it happened I honestly couldn't believe it. Ned Stark was one of my favorite characters and when he died my heart broke I don't think you understand how much. It seems to be a reoccurring theme that they kill the good people and my favorite characters.

7. Blackwater

Honestly, I was mind blown during this but I should have seen it coming.

6. The Red Wedding

Remember when I mentioned them killing the good guys as well as some of my favorite characters. Welcome to an episode that was a mass slaughtering of them, can't say I'm a fan.

5. Kahl Drogo's "Death" and then actual death

This was such a heartbreaking death because at first Kahl Drogo wasn't dead and then the love of his life suffocated him because that's better than being a vegetable. Honestly, I did not like his character at all in the beginning but he slowly grew on me and then BAM they decided to kill him off. NOT FAIR.

4. Battle of the Bastards

Here were my thoughts during this episode.

"NO"

"oh my god, Jon Snow has lost his mind"

"is he gonna actually die, he can't it's not allowed"

"do not tell me that Jon Snow is going to die because he was crushed to death"

"wtf"

Just watch it for yourself.

3. H O D O R

One word, SHOOK. Hodor more like hold the door. RIP to one of the best characters in the entire show even if he only had one word in his vocabulary (THOUGH IT WAS SO IMPORTANT). I never read the books so I have no clue if this was a part of them but it was one of the most heroic but tragic moments learning that Hodor had one job that no one even knew about and that was to hold the door so Bran could escape. I'm still crying about it tbh.

2. Jon Snow dying

THE BIGGEST SHOCK OF THE ENTIRE SHOW. Literally, I don't think anyone was expecting this because we all thought it wasn't even a possibility. Jon Snow is such an important character that them killing him off changed everything. This final scene of the season was one full of betrayal and tears and me screaming at my TV screen wondering how they could betray Jon that way when all he was trying to do was save them. But....

1. Jon Snow coming back

HE'S BACK. The suspense of this episode was real, but I think it was something that we all saw coming I mean he's Jon Snow and on Game of Thrones anything is possible including the dead coming back. Thankful.

Seriously, if I could have made a list of all of my favorite moments in Game of Thrones we would basically be watching the entire show. If you haven't watched it but you read this (still watch it who cares), I would apologize for spoiling the entire thing practically but I put up warnings so I won't.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
