Living in the Oklahoma brings many things to one life. There is a Sonic on every corner, we have the prettiest lakes, and everyone here is friendly. We also see a lot of extreme weather every spring, the most extreme being the tornadoes that rip towns apart in minutes. Oklahomans are notorious for ignoring the sirens and whipping out their phones to film a good twister, and outsiders just don't get it. Here's to helping those folks understand, with 11 thoughts every Oklahoman has during a tornado.
1. "Why is the weather interrupting "Game of Thrones?""
2. "A tornado watch is interrupting "Game of Thrones"? I'll believe it when the sirens go off... maybe."
3. "Ehhh... It is looking a little dark, I better go check it out."
4. *Sirens go off* "Whoomp, there it is."
5. "Should I take shelter? Nah."
6. "Better go get my lawn chair, this is gonna be good."
7. "There's the funnel cloud!"
8. "I can see the 'nado! I'm not even scared right now."
9. "Okay, I'm a little scared."
11. "It's over? That was awesome!"
Oklahomans freak out about ice storms and earthquakes, but dealing with tornadoes is second nature. Don't forget to actually pay attention to the weather, though. I hope you all stay safe this spring!
