Being a commuter is annoying as it is; getting to school or work on the train takes a LONG time. But these 11 things have commuters everywhere screaming and pulling their hair out.

1. Assigned seats are an unspoken rule on trains.

Do. Not. Sit in my spot. You may not know it's my spot, but I sit here every time I get on this train, and I will fight you for it. I need the outlet, and it's convenient for me to leave when I need to get off at my stop, move.

2. Be Quiet

You are in a quiet, enclosed space. I do not want to hear you and Karen talking about your new kitchen floors or how Becky got a hair cut. And guess what? No one else on this train car cares either.

3. Talking on the Phone Loudly

I don't care what kind of job you have, there is NO reason for you to be screaming into your phone about business on this train. Leave work at work, or at least in a space where you can be loud and not disrupt everyone else, you're rude.

4. Squeezing Four People Into Tiny Seats

Please, for the love of God, look for another seat. Do not try to sit by me when someone else or two other people are sitting there, there's already enough bags and people in the way. You do not need to squeeze yourself in between us and make us all uncomfortable. You suck.

5. People Cutting You Off to Get to the Train

I don't care how old you are, please do NOT run in front of me to get to the train. You are not entitled, you can wait just like everyone else. Thanks.

6.Bathroom Doors That Don't Lock

This is annoying anywhere, but it's ESPECIALLY annoying and ridiculously embarrassing on a crowded train when someone walks in on you. If you're sitting by the bathroom, see me go in there, and see someone else trying to go in, why can't you tell them someone is in there?! Have some humanity, people.

7. Waiting Forever to Board

Yes, please continue to let me stand outside in the freezing cold while I watch you walk around to every train car. And then, you come out of the car and still don't let us on.

8. Entitled Business People

9. Hovering Conductors

I see you standing there, I saw you when you were coming around. I have money on my app to buy my ticket, and I am in the middle of doing so. You and I both know it takes a minute, you do NOT need to stand over me and wait for me to get the ticket up. Go around to the other people who are in this car and get their tickets, and then come back to me.

10. People Who Use the Outlet The Whole Time

Listen, there is only 1 outlet for this seat. Put your phone on airplane mode, get it to like 50-60%, and then TAKE IT OUT. I am also sitting here, waiting to use the outlet because my phone is gonna die while I'm waiting for you. This has been a PSA.

11. Teenagers

At the risk of sounding like an old man, PLEASE STOP LETTING GROUPS OF TEENAGERS RIDE THE TRAIN. They are loud and have no respect for those around them, I'm not about it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
