Summer is definitely a big change when it comes to college, especially if you left home (except if you're taking summer classes). You go from being all your friends and living life on your own, to sometimes moving back in with your parents and basically living a whole separate life for 3 months. Since you're back home for the first time in possibly months, you're destined to get a numerous amount of questions and here are some that us college kids are tired of hearing.
1. Are you dating anyone?
No, I am not dating anyone. Thank you for asking.
2. What classes are you taking in the fall?
I don't even care that much about the classes that I'm taking this fall, I assume that you don't either.
3. What are you doing for internships? Do you have one lined up?
We're just going with the flow.
4. What are you doing after graduation?
Graduate school maybe? or working? Or just living alone with 5 dogs.
5. How much money will you make doing that?
You know it isn't all about money?
6. When are you graduating?
As soon as possible, Don't rush perfection.
7. Have you gained some weight?
We do not talk about whether or not I gained weight but we do not talk about that. There are definitely more important things to talk about.
8. How were your grades? Why didn't you do better?
You know, college isn't as easy as you think it is.
9. Why do you stay up so late?
In college, we can stay up as long as we want, whether we're doing homework or studying or just hanging out with friends. We're just used to doing our own thing.
10. How much did you party?
Yes, there is a lot of partying in college. But that doesn't mean that I have all of these party stories, or that I want to tell them to you.
11. Why didn't you call more?
College is difficult and very busy so calling you, probably wasn't my first thought.
