Living as a picky eater isn't something you choose, but rather it's something that chooses you. Food is obviously an important part of our everyday life and we live in a very food-centric and food-obsessed world. Eating can be a stressful event for all those people who just weren’t born with an eccentric taste palette. Many people are picky eaters as children, but start liking different foods more as they become adults. And then there are those people who don’t grow out of their eating habits as children (like me!) and the non-picky “I’ll-Eat-ANYTHING!” people out there have a hard time understanding that. Picky eaters have weird eating habits that don't make any sense to the average person. When it comes to picky eaters, I think I just might be the pickiest eater alive (plus I am allergic to half of the foods in the world and am lactose intolerant). If you're a picky eater too, you can probably relate to many, if not all, of the awkward situations that come up because of only liking as many things to eat as I have fingers on my hands. There is no doubt that being a picky eater comes with its struggles.

1.) You have to look up restaurant menus ahead of time every time you go somewhere new to make sure there’s something you’re willing to eat.

2.) When ordering at a restaurant, there is a whole list of what you toppings or sauce that you want left off of your plate that you have to tell the waiter about.

3.) You constantly remind people that it’s not your fault.

4.) Your number one most heard phrase is the most dreadful "one more bite."

5.) When you go over to a person's house and they cook for you, but it's something you simply can't eat, but you don't want to be rude about not eating what they've made.

6.) Going to a restaurant and still ordering from the children’s menu.

7.) Going hungry a lot of the time because nothing's ever appetizing.

8.) Having to have multiple plates at a meal because if your food touches you WILL NOT eat it.

9.) When people are constantly telling you that you don't eat "anything."

10.) You eat the same food over and over.

11.) You’re impossible to cook for (Just ask my mom).

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
