Winter Storm Jonas hit the East Coast hard as the first blizzard of 2016. The historic snowfall amounts totaled over 30 inches of snow in New York City and up to three feet in other major cities on the East Coast. There was so much snow, ice, and wind that you couldn't travel anywhere even if you wanted to. Here are the stages you probably went through before, during, and after Winter Storm Jonas hit.
1. Constantly checked the weather channels and your weather apps.
Meteorologist predictions are never right anyway.
2. Went on social media and laughed at the jokes people were making about Winter Storm Jonas.
They wont be funny when you’re trapped in three feet of snow.
3. Called in sick from work in advance.
Sorry boss, can’t take any chances.
4. Stocked up on soup, hot chocolate, and snacks for the next couple of days.
Too bad everyone and their mother had the same idea and the stores were packed.
5. Got excited when you saw the first snowflakes fall!
So pretty and peaceful…
6. Slept in late and then made a big breakfast and watched the snow.
PJs all day, because why not?
7. Took your dog out in the snow and watched him play and run around.
You can’t really tell if he/she loves or hates being in the snow. Probably both.
8. Started cleaning and organizing everything, since you were trapped in the house.
Being efficient on a snow day is always good.
9. Posted a picture on Instagram and came up with a witty caption about the snow.
#Blizzard2016.
10. Accepted the fact that you're snowed in, got some food, and turned on Netflix.
This is basically like any other day but with more snow.
11. Broke out the shovels, snowblower, and salt once the snow finally stopped.
Remember to lift with your legs or your back will kill you afterwards.
