Returning back to school after winter break can be overwhelming all on its own, but the added stress and excitement of the many stages of sorority recruitment is unlike any other experience.

1. Getting to see all of your best friends for the first time since last semester at a party and then realizing you all have recruitment practice the next morning...

2. Arriving to practice to learn the cheers and review recruitment-like conversations and trying to remain positive when thinking about the long two weeks ahead.

3. It may seem like the biggest time commitment at first, but when your chapter as a whole starts to realize that everything finally comes together with a little teamwork, all starts to seem right in the world.

4. The first round of recruitment is finally here and you're ready to kill the game with all your sisters after talking to the first PNM.

5. And then there are some PNMs who you automatically click with and have everything in common with and you feel like you were separated at birth...

6. The skit round comes and you're so proud of all of your sisters for singing and dancing better than Queen B.

7. Then soon enough, it's the last and most sentimental round: pref round, and the girls you've totally clicked with return to your chapter's room and you cry happy tears at the senior sisters' speeches and all the love.

8. It's finally bid day and all the girls you've worked so hard to have join your chapter, sign their bids and you feel a sense of accomplishment.

9. And you remember why you joined Greek life in the first place.

10. And now you can finally catch up on sleep and have more time to breathe knowing the new members have found their homes.

11. Until recruitment practices begin again and the cycle repeats...

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
