Here are a few of my favorite songs from a wide range of genres. I feel that its important to experience different kinds of music because all music has some sort of meaning to it. Whether you listen to music just to jam out, or you appreciate the lyrical ingenuity of artist liks Eminem and Kid Cudi, I guarantee you will find a song in this article that will appeal to you in some way.

1. Eminem - When The Music Stops

The message Eminem is trying to convey in this song is simple: People need to stop confusing Rap and Hip-Hop songs with real life. This song's message has been relevant since its release in 2002. A lot of artists these days sing about lifestyles that just aren't as plausible as they make them out to be. So no matter how amazing a rap artist might make partying all day and night sound, it is still just a song made to appeal to the general public.

2. Kid Cudi - Mr. Rager

This song has an extremely personal flair to it. A lot of Rap and Hip-Hop today is very extrospective. That is, artists like to write music that describes the world around them. The beauty of Kid Cudi's music is that he likes to write music that is very introspective. This song talks about his struggles of using drugs, and how they made him a very destructive and sad person.
