Summer 2016 in New York has been humid, hot, sunny, cloudy, rainy, sweaty and overall simply unforgettable. It could have been worse.
I took a job outside of my comfort zone and I learned a lot about myself. Leave a comment letting me know how your summer went.
Even though summer is coming to an end, let us revisit a couple of songs that were undeniably overplayed this summer.
1. Drake -- "One Dance" (feat. Kyla & Wizkid).
Whether I was Google Play Music or Pandora, this song would come on the Today's Hits Station.
2. Zara Larsson & MNEK -- "Never Forget You."
I had never heard of either of these artists, but I am so glad I did.
3. Rihanna -- "Needed Me."
Your head nodding will slowly match the beats to this song.
4. Rihanna -- "Work" (feat. Drake).
The moment this song came out, it took over the internet.
5. Major Lazer & DJ Snake -- "Lean On" (feat. MØ).
The perfect song to workout to.
6. Major Lazer -- "Light It Up" (feat. Nyla & Fuse ODG).
If today is the day you lift weights, this song will help you power through it.
7. X Ambassadors --"Unsteady."
A beautifully written song about a sad life.
8. Fifth Harmony -- "All In My Head (Flex)" (feat. Fetty Wap).
Play this song while you are at the beach. Makes the beach better.
9. Fifth Harmony -- "Work From Home" (feat. Ty Dolla $ign).
This is the anthem of summer 2016.
10. G-Eazy x Bebe Rexha -- "Me, Myself & I."
G-Easy has such a smooth voice and Rexha's high pitch notes complete this song.
11. Coldplay -- "Hymn For The Weekend."
This song crept onto Pandora's Today's Hits Music Station and Google Play's Today's Biggest Hits Station.
