The "S" word, your final lap, fourth year, whatever you want to call it, you're about to enter the world of adulthood. Let's hope you're a little bit more prepared for it than you were your first week of senior year classes.
Freshmen day move in was filled with nerves, excitement, and numerous checklist just to make sure you brought everything. Now, fast forward three years and you're showing up to your apartment with clothes, sheets and probably a total of two utensils. The similarities between the first week of freshmen year and the first week of senior year are next to none. You go from mapping out exactly how to get to your morning class and making sure you get there 15 minutes early, to leaving 5 minutes before class starts not knowing where the hell you're going.
So, if you're a senior then this one's for you.
1. Checking and re-checking the date on your parking pass to see how long till you have to get a new one.
2. Wondering why even buy a parking pass if there are no spots ever.
Is spending close to $300 really worth circling the parking deck five times? No, no it's really not.
3. Complaining daily about having no utensils, paper towels, toilet paper...but never doing anything about it.
This habit will probably stick around the whole year.
4. Looking up how much your books cost and then making the executive decision to hold off for another week.
Five-hundred dollars on a single text book that you won't read as much as you should? Yeah, no thanks.
5. Leaving like 6 minutes before your class starts.
...And then walking in like you own the place.
6. Buying everyone shots cause you think you're rich from getting paid one single summer.
Not coming to the realization that you are not a millionaire.
7. Wearing clothes that came straight out of your nasty hamper.
Smell test...and maybe some perfume.
8. Thinking that showering is optional.
This habit should only fly for the first week...
9. Going to frat parties and realizing you're too old to go to frat parties.
For some reason being in a small, hot, overcrowded room with people that reek of Burnett's is just no longer appealing.
10. Staying in the first Friday night cause you're too old to party both nights.
Accepting that you are now a grandma is the first step.
11. And finally, counting down the days to graduation already.
Mainly because you can't imagine leaving this place and want to know when it's acceptable to start crying.
