11 Reasons Having A Long Distance Best Friend Is Worth It
Samantha Misner

Everyone has a best friend, but does everyone have a long-distance best friend? Probably not. Well, for those of you who do... you understand the relationship can get pretty weird. It's not easy and totally not something anyone can just figure out how to work overnight. By having a best friend who lives miles, states or even countries apart makes you phone obsessed. You suddenly catch yourself stalking their lives, new friends, boyfriends/girlfriends; anything that will keep you in the loop matters. Here are a few things that happen when your best friend isn't close enough for comfort.

1. You cherish all the old-times you've had.

Take it all in because moments don't last forever.

2. You constantly wish she or he was involved in all of your "moments" in life.

This would be so much more fun if you were here, ugh.

3. Old pictures are like gold, especially funny ones.

I promise... I won't post it....today at least.

4. You don't talk everyday, but when you do...it's about real-life shit.

Yeah, I just totally failed that test and probably will never get a job, get married, have kids.. ya know. Life.

5. You're not afraid to call them at 3 a.m. and tell them you're ready to do something completely insane (even though you're probably just venting.)

No...I am totally not crying. Okay, okay maybe I am.

6. You get jealous of their new friends.

Hmm, you made a new friend. COOL. I am still your favorite though (we both know it).

7. More importantly, A RELATIONSHIP!? Unacceptable. (JK).

I mean... as long as they don't cut into "our time," they can stay.

8. You miss birthdays and have to celebrate them states away, without them.

Does that mean when we see each other that we have to celebrate every birthday we missed all in one night? YES.

9. The 1 week you get to spend with them feels like 5 hours, but nothing has changed.

Yup... you're still just as weird.

10. When you forget to tell them something uber important and you blurb it out all in one text message.

OMG, you had to open it up into a word document...sorry, not sorry.

11. When your "friends" don't compare, but you're grateful because he or she is one of a kind.

What can I say, you're the Blair to my Serena.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
