If you're like me, you and your dog are like two peas in a pod. Your dog follows you everywhere, and yes, I mean everywhere (including the bathroom). They are your go-to cuddle buddies and instant pillow. Leaving your dog for college breaks your heart and you can't help but look at photos of them every day. Here are a few things that I will miss doing with my dog Lucky.
1. Dressing him up in outfits he may or may not like
The hood doesn't fit but he still looks like a 10/10.
2. Wrapping him up in a burrito blanket
I know he likes this one. Dogs wrapped in burritos is just too cute to not miss. Look how snuggly he is!
3. Playing fetch outside with him
This one is pretty much a given. I always wonder, does he actually like playing fetch? Or does he think I just like throwing the ball and that's why he keeps bringing it back?
4. Taking funny photos of him while we play fetch
Hold that position! I have to get it on camera!
5. Saying things like "treat" or "walk" just to see him do that sideways look
Not sure why they do this, but I am glad that they do. A little tilt to the right, a little tilt to the left. I'm sure this head motion helps them better understand what we are saying to them.
6. Using him as support
Wheater that's to prop up a book, or use him as a pillow, he is just fluffy enough! And the best part: they enjoy it!
7. Watching him meet other dogs... and horses
I will never understand the butt sniff thing, but they always do it. I guess that's just how they become friends!
8. Taking him on late night walks
His favorite word is "walk". He knows once the sun goes down, he will adventure on a walk! He loves these walks, even more, when he is accompanied by his friends.
9. Being his personal photographer
It's like he's meant for this kinda thing. It's like he knows I'm taking my next screen savor.
10. When he licks his nose
Now this one I am really going to miss. Talk about ADORABLE!!!
11. Taking cool selfies with him
Again, it's like he's meant for this kinda thing.
Call me a crazy dog lady but I know some of you guys will miss these things, and more! It's no lie, a dog really is a person's best friend. Even though we have to say goodbye to them after every summer, they are always waiting back at home as if we never left.
