No night-out plans for Valentine's Day? Hey, me either. Whether you're in a relationship or flying solo this holiday, you can't deny a good movie night is always a great way to spend the day. Here's a great Netflix movie list for Valentine's Day whether you're single or not.
1. Marie Antoinette
2. Rent
This movie will never not make me cry, but I will also never stop watching it. It is a phenomenal story about love and friendship and breakups and addiction and AIDS. If you're looking for a great tear-jerker, this is it.
3. Midnight in Paris
If you love Owen Wilson and the 20s, this is the movie for you. My mom and I found this on TV one night and now it is one of my absolute favorite movies. The romance element is just beautifully intertwined with the story of nostalgia.
4. The Host
This is such an interesting movie that I only watched quite recently. It's so cool to see the double love story and struggle for power.
5. Beauty and the Beast
You had to know this would be on here. I mean, it's a classic.
6. Hercules
This one never gets old and the music is just great.
7. Heathers
A classic 80s movie with a little bit of murder thrown in. Perfect if you're alone this Valentine's Day. Of course, there's a love story through-line, but the murders make it tolerable.
8. Anastasia
Another one with great music that never gets old. Plus, it's always nice to have such a strong female character like Anya.
9. Newsies: The Broadway Musical
Such a fun and amazing musical with a great love story woven in. Plus they put the actual musical on Netflix!
10. Pocahontas
Do you not just die every time he has to leave at the end? It always gets me.
11. Death Note
If you think about this as a separate entity and not as a live-action Death Note, this is a really great movie with a power-struggle romance that is really intense and interesting.
