I recently visited Orlando, Florida and went to the four parks in Walt Disney World. While I was there, I learned several interesting facts about the parks and the people there. Here are just a few!
1. Walt Disney World is approximately the size of San Francisco.
2. The Magic Kingdom park is bigger than Walt Disney Land in California.
3. The Cinderella Castle is made entirely of fiberglass.
4. Speaking of the castle, it is based off a castle in Germany called Neuschwanstein.
5. The parks compost and recycle.
6. It would take you 68 years to stay a night in every hotel in Disney World.
7. EPCOT was supposed to be a working city of the future. Unfortunately, Walt Disney died before his dream was realized.
8. About 200 pairs of sunglasses are turned in to lost and found EACH DAY.
9. Mickey Mouse has more than 290 outfits.
10. The different lands in the Magic Kingdom (Adventureland, Tomorrowland, etc.) are designed so that you cannot see any other land while you are in one.
11. It is the most visited vacation resort in the world.
