If you're a guy who is in a committed, serious relationship, you probably have been thinking about the time that you'll pop the question to your special woman. You'll think about when and where to do it, as well as what to say to her before you get down on one knee for her.

Here are 11 of the best places to do it.

1. Lakefront

The lakefront is such a beautiful view, and whenever you're there with her, for any occasion, you'll surely enjoy your time with her, plus the scenery. Popping the question to her in this scenery reminds her of the beautiful person she is on top of a beautiful view, and you'll likely hear her say "Yes."

2. The location of your first date

Most men won't take their lady to McDonald's or the dining hall for their first date, and instead they ideally would bring you to a picnic or the top of a mountain. Because you've been through so much with her, starting with your first date, it's a perfect place to remind her that you want to spend forever with her.

3. When your closest friends are watching

Your closest friends all approve of your relationship with your girlfriend, so it's obvious they mean a lot to you. Having them witness one of the best days of your life makes it all the better.

4. A beautiful night downtown

Whether it was date night on the town or an impromptu night together where you are planning to propose without her knowing about it, when it's a beautiful night downtown, you know you're in the right place to pop the question.

5. At a sporting event

A lot of athletes do this when a big-time feat has been accomplished, such as winning a national championship or the World Series, and you can be sure she will appreciate that because she enjoys supporting you and being with you. Case in point: Astros' Carlos Correa. Or, you can do it in the jumbotron.

6. In front of a school you both went to

If you and your girlfriend went to college together, or even grade school or high school together, you know the memory of when you first got together, and she will surely appreciate that you remember it.

Bonus: Propose to her at her either at her Alma mater or your Alma mater (whichever you choose) if you went to different schools. Or propose to her at either of your graduation ceremonies.

7. In front of your children

In some cases, you could be dating and have kids before your marriage, and if you do, you're not only wanting to spend the rest of your life with her, but you're also committing to taking care of the kids because they are important to you too.

8. Over the holidays

Spending the holidays together, whether it's the first time or the 10th time, they're a special time to spend together, and you're showing her that she's important to you by including her in your holiday plans. There aren't too many better times to let her know that you want to spend the rest of your life with her.

9. Karaoke night

"He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, 'Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress, it's a love story baby just say, 'Yes.'"

10. At your best friend's wedding

When your best friend ties the knot with his/her significant other, it's a great time to ask yours if she wants to spend the rest of her life with you. If she says 'Yes', it would be an extra happy day.

11. Any well-known landmark of your choice

Whether it's Disney World, Eiffel Tower, The Alamo, or the Great Wall, it's going to be a special place since your partner is most likely going to enjoy the view, the scenery, and of course being with you. It's an adventure that you think of as one that was worth going on.

* * *

There is no one correct place to propose to your girlfriend, but the above 11 places are all worthy candidates to consider. Of course, you have something in mind, and it may or may not match any of the above, but that's perfectly fine. If you like any of these ideas, feel free to use them, but trust your gut on the place where you want to pop the question.

You know how you want it to go, and you're confident that it will. The important things to know, however, are that it should be an environment that both of you will never forget, and that you just have to be you.

Do that and she will say, "Yes."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
