Going to concerts is a summer tradition for high school and college students everywhere. No matter what kind of music you listen to, there is bound to be a concert that you just have to be at this summer. There are a few that everyone should be attending, if not just to broaden your horizons. (These are in no particular order.)

11. PVRIS.


PVRIS is coming to Atlanta on May 12 with Beach Weather and Lydia opening -- basically, you get to see a ton of really great bands.

10. Vans Warped Tour.

The annual Vans Warped Tour comes to Atlanta on June 30. Over 30 bands will be playing throughout the day, including the Maine, Sleeping With Sirens, and State Champs.

9. The Summer Set.


The Summer Set is coming to Atlanta on May 22.

8. Shaky Knees Fest.

On May 13 to May 15, bands such as Walk the Moon, and Florence and the Machine, are going to come to Atlanta.

7. Panic! At The Disco.

Panic! hits the Atlanta on June 16 with Weezer opening.

6. Twenty One Pilots.


The now popular duo is in Atlanta on August 6.

5. Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas.


The pair perform at Philips Arena on June 29.

4. Blink 182, A Day to Remember, All Time Low, All American Rejects.

Who doesn't love a good reunion? This concert hits Atlanta on August 2.

3. The Neighbourhood.

That's right. The band behind the popular song "Sweater Weather" is actually really great. They come to Atlanta on May 24.

2. Boyz II Men.

The popular group performs in Atlanta on July 13.


1. Rihanna.

The popular female singer is at Philips Arena on May 18.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
