There is nothing more relaxing than curling up in the sand with a book.

Spring Break is one of the best times to relax and read something for fun. There are thousands upon thousands of fantastic books that are worth the read but here are a few of my favorite beach reads.

If you want something sad...

Looking For Alaska by John Green

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past 5 or so years then you've probably already read something by John Green. Read this anyway.

If you want something romantic...

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

It seems like most millennials are familiar with but have never actually read any Austen books. Fix that this spring break.

If you want something based on a historical event...

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Most historical fiction books just don't really cut it for me, for one reason or another. I absolutely adore The Book Thief however. If you have any interest in the Holocaust, World War II or Nazi Germany, you will love this book.

If you want something thought provoking...

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

I don't know if I would go as far as to say that I enjoy this book. But it is definitely interesting and will get you thinking.

If you want a classic...

Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell

This is the classic of all classics. Every self-respecting southerner has at least seen Gone With the Wind. I just recently started the book myself and I am in love.

If you want something with a religious base...

Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst

You will sob. But you will feel so much closer to God and learn a lot about yourself.

If you want something Science Fiction or Fantasy...

Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

Okay if you haven't read the Harry Potter series already I'm not really sure what you've been doing for the past 20 years but I'll cut you some slack. You have a week on the beach to get through them, better start reading.

If you want to read a play...

Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare

Pretty much everyone had to read Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet in high school. This may be one of Shakespeare's lesser known comedies but it's definitely one of his best.

If you want to read poetry...

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Really well written. Even if you don't like poetry, you'll like it.

If you want to read non-fiction...

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

Details the quadruple murder of the Clutter family in 1959.

If you want to read something dystopian...

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

I literally have no bad things to say about this book. It's dark and chilling and detailed and wonderfully executed.

Now that you have some great reading material picked out, head to the beach. Happy Spring Break!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
