In case you didn't know, I have a strong relationship with literature. My favorite literature to read is not the type where you ask the writer"what did you mean when you said..."; it's the kind of literature that is left up to the reader's interpretation. Futhermore, it warms my heart reading black (or African American) literature. In honor of Black History Month, here is a list of 11 black authors and writers I think you should know about and my favorite work of theirs.
