One of my favorite things to do is create monthly playlists. Personally, I love using Spotify because I’m able to easily organize my playlists, discover new music, and share it with friends. Plus, who doesn’t love a student discount? I listen to a wide variety of music so if you’re on the hunt for some new tunes, keep reading, because you might find a few!

1. "Marry Me" by Thomas Rhett

This song was released in November and the music video came the following month. Rhett pours his heart out in this “what if” song, that details what would have happened if he and his wife would have ended up with different people. This song definitely captures the feeling of heartbreak, so if you’re feeling blue, “Marry Me” is the song for you.

2. "Electric Touch" by A R I Z O N A

A R I Z O N A has a ton of really good songs, but this is one of my favorites — Cross My Mind being my other favorite. Zach Hannah, the lead singer, has such a unique and incredible voice. Plus, the beat is really catchy.

3. "Female" by Keith Urban

Normally, I only find myself listening to country music in the summertime, but there were so many good country songs that I stumbled upon this month. If you like country, I’m sure you’re familiar with Keith Urban. I respect him so much for singing this song, especially because the topic is so relevant. The song was partly inspired by the Harvey Weinstein scandal that took place recently in Hollywood.

4. "Don’t Tell Me" by Ruel

For a fourteen-year-old, this boy has an incredible voice. His style is somewhere between Hozier and Sam Smith. So if you enjoy their music, you will love “Don’t Tell Me."

5. "False Alarm" by Matoma and Becky Hill

This song is such a jam. If you’re looking for a song to belt out in the shower or with friends, this one is for you.

6. "Sticks and Stones" by Bronze Radio Return

I heard this song while watching 90210. I find a lot of my music from movie or TV soundtracks, because they always encompass the mood of the scene. I find myself listening to this song when I’m relaxing, because the lyrics are so soothing.

7. "Love Lost" by The Temper Trap

After not hearing this song for years, I fell in love all over again. This song somewhat reminds me of Coldplay — one of my favorite bands.

8. "Water" by Jack Garratt

This song has R&B melodies with hymn-like lyrics. Although the lyrics are simple and repetitive, the music is so detailed and varied. There are electronic elements in the song as well, which really make it come alive.

9. "Never Be the Same" by Camila Cabello

This is another jam, and my go-to shower song. Cabello talks about an addictive relationship and the beat really encompasses this.

10. "Tribulation – Stripped" by Matt Maeson

This is a song about self-doubt and feeling inferior. Maeson sings about love and how confusing it can be. He does so in the most beautiful way possible. I’m a fan of the stripped version, because it's more simplified than the regular version and you can really appreciate his voice.

Each song on this list is unique in its own way and will give you something to listen to the next time you’re looking for a new jam. Plus, each one of these artists is so talented, so I highly recommend you check them out!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
