It is that time of the year again! The Super Bowl has rolled around and whether or not your favorite team is in the lineup, a fun way to get friends together is to host a Super Bowl party. Sadly for me, the Patriots nor the Eagles are my favorite team. Go Steelers! But, in the spirit of it all, go all out and plan the best party for you and your friends. The real winner will be you!
I have rounded up a list of the top ten ways to create the best Super Bowl party out there!
1. Photo booth
Go all out with decorating and get colorful banners, goofy props and a sign that says "Super Bowl 2018". Personalize it with your favorite team playing and get matching props like footballs, pom poms, and jerseys to heighten the sporty vibe.
2. A signature drink
Plan your party around a fun, yummy drink that will have guests saying "delish!" To make things easy, I suggest using a big punch bowl. One of my favorite recipes that can be altered any way you choose is a recipe using frozen raspberry sherbet. You could even get creative and use green or blue sherbet to match your favorite team. This punch is a winner in my book!
3. Table centerpiece
Fun centerpiece ideas include a helmet, a football, confetti, pom poms, team-colored candles, and little goal posts. Party City has cheap centerpieces, or make your own!
4. Fun balloons
Get massive number balloons for 2018 that are sure to stand out. Or, get colors for the Eagles or Patriots to add the perfect pop in the corner.
5. Fast, easy appetizers
The fastest, easiest appetizers are usually dips, assorted cheese and crackers and the good ole' veggie tray. Some of my favorite dips include a Buffalo Chicken Dip. Another dip that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser is Cheese Dip. Everyone loves a gooey glob of cheese on a crunchy chip.
6. An awesome playlist in the background
Get some Nicki Minaj, Bon Jovi or really anyone that can pump up a crowd. People will be singing along to their favorite songs while cheering on the team.
7. Create a hashtag and share the love
Get people to remember the fun night by creating a hashtag to be used for social media. Creating a hashtag allows a person to share their memories with other people from the night and it'll be linked together.
8. Get people involved in a halftime game
Board games never go out of style and everyone gets a chance to participate. Play in teams or play solo as everyone will have a good time. Use the halftime!
9. Wear a jersey
Wear a jersey for one of the teams or if not everyone has a jersey, wear matching colors to take a side. Or, if people do not have a team they are rooting for, any jersey will do. It is all about the sports!
10. Make a football cake!
End the night on a sweet note with a football cake, or even football cupcakes. Have fun making a homemade cake in the kitchen, or if you're short on time, pick up a super bowl themed dessert from your local grocery store.
